Kiley seemed to enjoy her first Halloween. She was adorable in her costume and to Evelyn's and my surprise, she didn't seem to mind wearing it. We had several Halloween themed outfits that she wore and so we were able to keep her festive throughout the week.
On Wednesday we went to the branch Halloween party. I managed to talk Evelyn into dressing up in our costumes from last year so we were once again Gilligan and Mary Ann. They had Halloween themed treats and a pumpkin carving contest. It was fun to see all the kids running around and playing the games they had set up. It's gonna be harder to keep track of Kiley next year, since she'll be toddling around instead of staying planted in her carseat.
On Friday we went to the University Mall and went trick or treating with Kara and her kids. It's a pretty nice setup, each of the stores has an employee out distributing candy to the youngsters and its nice to be in a well lit, and warm place to do your trick or treating. Kiley had a bag for candy attached to the front of her stroller, but not every store was willing to give her candy. Apparently, some of them didn't believe she was going to eat it. But in the end we got a few candies for dad and some Tootsie Rolls for mom. I don't think Kiley will mind too much.
So our little Kiley was a chicken for Halloween, she was pretty cute in her costume and seemed to enjoy it. It's hard to tell from the picture but her orange pants have little chicken feet at the ends so that she can look the part.

She is SO cute! I love the chicken costume! We wish we lived closer so that we could see everyone more often.
Miss you guys too. I could use some raising a daughter advice. Take care of yourself and know that we are thinking of you.
