Is it a Boy or a Girl?

So, today was the big day. I'll be honest there were some nerves involved as we made our way into the doctor's office. Evelyn was probably nervous too. We've been looking forward to this day for a couple of weeks now, but to be honest it was a little anti-climactic. We left the office without a baby, and without much change to our lives...yet.

It was facinating to see the baby already so well developed and recognizable as a tiny human. It's funny, because as a biologist, I've seen numerous fetuses and studied their development, but when it's your little baby in there, all the science and logic goes out the window and you are left with nothing but wonder and amazement.

We were able to get a copy of the ultrasound which we have posted below for you all to see. As for whether it's a boy or girl? Well, if Evelyn hasn't already blown the surprise, you'll just have to watch the video to find out. It's easy to miss, and so the doctor writes his findings at the end of the video in his records. We are excitedly looking forward to our little one and I am sure you all are too. Love to you all.
