The Tapeworm at 23 Weeks

Well, many of you have been clamoring for information since last week. There was a problem getting the video to upload and so many of you were unable to get an answer to your most pressing question. Is it a boy or is it a girl?
Well, to answer MOST truthfully, we don't know for sure. The little tike had it's legs crossed and so it was difficult to get a clear view, but our doctor seemed willing (after several attempts) to go out on a limb and pronounce our child a healthy baby girl. He then proceeded to hedge and say he wasn't positive, but he seemed pretty sure. So our take home message was buy girl clothes but keep the reciepts and tags.
Now the fun of finding a name begins. We had narrowed it down to a few choices for a boy, due to my wish (or psychotic fixation, depending on who you ask) to give the firstborn son a "C" name. So now that it's a girl, we are back to square one as far as deciding on a name. I never realized the pressure that comes with giving someone a name that they will use for the rest of their lives and the rest of eternity. Seeing as how I was nearly named for one of the many fast food restaraunts that my parents passed on the way to the hospital, I guess I never really considered how important a name could seem. But in the end my parents did okay, and my name has worked okay for me to date.
There has also been a clamor for pictures of Evelyn so that people can keep up to date on her and the baby's gestational progress. So we've decided we'll put up a photo every 4 weeks or so, in order to help people who aren't close to follow along. She has just started to show and has only been wearing maternity clothes for the last week or 2 but she is absolutely radiant. Her belly doesn't show too much through her clothes yet, but she does have a cute little "prego" belly under there.
We're both excited to be progressing towards the end. To think that we are already more than half-way there is exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. There is still so much to do in order to prepare, but we are starting to get stuff taken care of so we hope to be prepared by the time our baby arrives.
