Family

We have had family with us for the last few weeks and it has been a life saver. We will see how we do on our own. I am sure Kiley will be well taken care of, but who knows what the house is going to look like.

While everybody was here we had a little BBQ at a park near our house. It was Kiley's first outing. She did remarkably well, by which I mean she stayed asleep the entire time. These are some pictures from the picnic, including four generations of Larsons.

One thing I have very quickly learned is that as a new mom you suddenly care even less about how you look than you did when you were pregnant. You are just happy if you manage to get a shower every day and six hours of sleep spread throughout the 24 hours in a day. The proof of this is in the pictures that we took just before Nicky and her family and Samantha left for their respective homes.

Travis and Shawn were quite impressed with little Kiley. Everytime they came back to the house from somewhere the first they had to do was find the baby. Shawn kept saying "tiny toes" and Travis kept giving her kisses on the top of her head. Hopefully they will be as impressed with their own little brother. I think we have a picture of Travis holding her somewhere if it ever gets located we'll put it on a later post. Although as soon as she started to fuss he was DONE and he definitely had no interest in helping me change her diaper.

How fun! Paul was definitely sad not to be there to see the tiny babe. He really wants to see everyone in August, hopefully it will work out!
